Emma Symonds

Emma is a dancer, singer, and actress based in New York City. She was born and raised in Massachusetts with her Mom, Dad, Brother, Sister, and 2 dogs. Emma has been performing ever since she could remember. Her mom put her in dance classes when she was 3 years old and she was in love ever since that day. When Emma was 6 years old she was chosen to be on a dance competition team and was a competitive dancer from age 6-17. She started out at Expressions Dance Center in Weymouth MA, but it was unfortunately closed due to covid in 2020. She was then discovered by Project 31 Dance Studio in Rockland MA and danced there in her high school years. She was later asked to be a part of the Project 31 company’s Apprentice Training Program (ATP) in which she got to do many concert dance shows. While dance was her first love, Musical Theatre was also a huge part of her life. She began doing musicals at age 8 and continued through middle and high school. Her most memorable role was when she played Iago in Aladdin in 5th grade. She currently is studying at The American Musical and Dramatic Academy for her BFA. Emma has a deep love for working with kids and has worked at many summer camps, after school programs, and choreographing for junior musicals.
